ALCALA MINISTRIES

OUR STORY

Joey & Stacey Alcala

Joey and Stacey Alcala are passionate about helping people follow Jesus, build healthy relationships, and live with purpose. Whether they’re speaking in a church, investing in leaders, mentoring couples, or encouraging someone through a difficult season, their heart is simple: help people take their next step with God and become all He created them to be.

Together, Joey and Stacey bring more than 50 years of combined ministry, leadership, and coaching experience. Their journey has taken them from local church ministry and leadership development to executive leadership roles in the business world, giving them a unique perspective on faith, family, leadership, and everyday life.

Today, Joey and Stacey serve together as Co-Pastors of Community Life at Oaks Church, where they help people find community, grow in their faith, and experience the life-changing power of following Jesus. Their passion is creating environments where people feel known, connected, and equipped to grow spiritually.

Prior to Oaks Church, Joey served in executive leadership roles, including Vice President of Recognition & Leadership. Throughout his career, he has coached leaders, developed teams, spoken at conferences, and helped people discover their God-given potential.

His ministry journey spans nearly three decades and includes serving as Executive NextGen Pastor, Kids Pastor, Associate Spiritual Formations Pastor, Director of Master’s Commission USA, President of Master’s Commission International, and Campus Pastor at Grand Canyon University. Joey is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and holds both a Bachelor’s Degree in General Ministries and a Master’s Degree in Religious Education.

Stacey has spent her life investing in people. Her gift for building relationships, encouraging others, and helping people see what God can do in their lives has made a lasting impact on countless leaders, families, and young adults. She served as Senior Vice President of Field Development, helping develop leaders and teams across the country. Earlier in ministry, she served alongside Joey as Co-Director of Master’s Commission USA at Dream City Church (formerly Phoenix First Assembly), helping train and disciple young adults for ministry, missions, and leadership.

More than any title or accomplishment, Joey and Stacey are most proud of their family. Married for more than 25 years, they are the proud parents of two daughters. Isabella attends Baylor University, pursuing a degree in Theatre Performance and Pre-med, and Alexandrea attends Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School. Their experiences as parents, leaders, and ministry partners continue to shape the way they connect with and serve others.

Through Alcala Ministries, Joey and Stacey speak at churches, leadership gatherings, marriage events, retreats, conferences, and organizational teams. Their approach is practical, authentic, and rooted in biblical truth. They believe lasting transformation happens when people encounter Jesus, embrace community, and faithfully take their next step.

Their mission is simple:

Helping people know Jesus, grow in their faith, strengthen their relationships, and live out God’s purpose for their lives.
